Lifting the veil of silence on hijab

few months ago an Egyptian news paper published this article about some Muslims girls who have been removed their veil or hijab, some explain their reasons....

but firs I want to clarify something about this matter:

  • We should not seek love and attention from people before we seek it from Allah

  • wear Higab is an order from Allah written in the Koran:

    surat An-Nur

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.

  • In Egypt there is a lot of girls who doesn't wear it althougth been Muslims

  • There is a lot of veiled girls who smoke Shisha in the public coffee shops, wear sexy.clothes, behave indecent, etc, etc, etc.

  • The Hijab is a Woman decision to wear it or no.

  • Hijab doesn't makes me feel less than other person.

  • Hijab doesn't reduce my self-confidence.

  • since I wore it I feel more secure.

  • Not use some one is not what you thought you should leave away your beliefs.

  • Only Allah knows best what is inside the hearts of every one.

In addition to all that, the parents roll in the family is very important, many of this young girls are in the edge where they need more guidance and here is where the parents should intervene in their education and support.

Do the parents know that their daughters are smoking?

Do they know that they have meetings with guys behind their backs?

This is a huge problem here in Egypt, more of the parents of this girls are now older and they can't speak with this young girls, for them they are too old and don't know "fashion"(I know few in this case), the good behave and education keep this country safe and secure, here you walk on the streets at any time and you feel the peace, this close education(as the west see it) is what keep our girls safe(who follow the Islam orders), while in other places girls in the same edge are getting pregnat with out know their baby father in more of the cases, here girls are getting married and forming a family by their own.

We as parents are responsible for the good behave and education of our children doesn't matter their edge.
